Maybe Shia LaBeouf has some sort of subconscious death wish, but he’s just too much of an optimist to commit suicide.
And the crowd goes silent…no more suicide jokes then.
Word comes in that the BOOF has hurt himself on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. No telling if they’re going to write this new injury into the script, fix it with CGI, or just ignore it and shoot Shia in the head (murder jokes, is that fine?):
Read more...Sources tell TMZ Shia was injured by a prop on the set of “Transformers” — we’re told he got a cut below his eyebrow that required stitches.
After getting sewn up, he went right back to work. Injured hand, injured eyebrow — no problemo.

One of the times we saw the first Transformers with an audience was opening day at a movie theater in the downtown area of Brooklyn. The theater was on the sixth floor of the complex and was filled with kids and high teenagers who were thrilled to the get the companion Bumblebee comic book to look at before we saw if Michael Bay could pull off a movie based on a line of toys from the 80s (though it couldn’t be that hard, since in scene in the Tom Hanks movie BIG, toy executives essentially come up with the idea for Beast Wars on screen)
When Optimus Prime takes on Bonecrusher, the skating robot that takes on a bus, the guy sitting in front of Dave turned around and slapped him on the thigh, yelling “robot fight!” This elicited many cheers within the theater.
So, we pose the question, what about Revenge of the Fallen is going to be bigger and better (UPDATED!)…

In the first Transformers film, Megatron became some sort of alien airplane instead of his usual giant gun mode. Probably because you don’t want to sell kinds any sort of toy that looks like a giant alien gun, lest they decide that their father’s secret .45 is really a robot if you just fiddle with it enough.
Now, Latino Review has some conceptual art that looks to be Megatron’s alt-mode, and it looks like he’ll be some sort of H.R. Giger tank.
No one has been able to confirm these images as real, early conceptual art from the first film or continuing Michael Bay Disinformation, but you can check out all the photos from the original American source, our buddies on the East Coast, Latino Review.

We don’t know how that scheme is going, but if we’re going to be lulled into corporate complacency, we’d like to be lulled by Megan Fox.

See that big guy? That’s Devastator. Granted, this isn’t an official concept art image, but it’s huge and cool.
TFW2005 has the confirmation, adding in these 4 tidbits:
- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously Long Haul concept art (image to left) by Josh Nizzi is legit (CLICK)
Even more intriguing is the Transformers Wiki description of the character:
Devastator is an immensely powerful warrior, and in that sense the combination of the Constructicons into a merged being is a huge success. Mentally, on the other hand, he’s very much less than the sum of his parts. Devastator’s primitive psyche is limited to only the thoughts and actions on which all his components can agree, which results in raging bouts of destructive fury.
We thought about putting a spoiler tag on all this, but “Breaking: Giant Robot Confirmed For Transformers 2” just doesn’t seem like that much of a spoiler.

God bless you WalMart, deliverer of everyday products at affordable prices that may or may not kill off local businesses.
As part of WalMart’s special shipment Transformers DVDs (with masks!), the ‘Mart has offered up videos on a special website. You can access them by clicking HERE and entering the code: AllSpark62609.
There are two up right now: a look at how ILM created the original robots for Transformers (though the clip plays more like a music video edited by an intern whose sole job was to make that clip) and a Behind The Scenes video from Day One on the set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
Looks like the site is sticking around to bring us a new video everyweek, taking our jobs as middlemen away from us.
Curse you WalMart! Always screwing the little guy!

“But, Dave,” you may be asking, “how is this news in any shape, way or form?”
Interesting way to phrase a question, I would say. Then, I would suggest you click on the images below to enlarge them. Because, you see, Megan Fox is totally wearing a leopard-print bra underneath a white shirt. He hair catches the wind, her jewelry is scintillating in the sun…
…(she’s with Brian Austin Green, a guy who she used-to/may-still-be engaged to, but dismiss that, because he wouldn’t look at the camera)…
…and she’s seeing Dark Knight, something she needed to get around to when she wasn’t filming Transformers 2 in Long Beach where there have been some major explosions going down (warning, the dude filming cusses like anyone would at that sized explosion):
The long and the short is: Megan Fox is hot and will usually be newsworthy. Because she’s hot.
How much more logic do you want?

Shia LaBeouf had his photo taken on the set of the new Transformers film (spoiler? Was it a mystery to anyone that Shia’s Sam was gonna get knocked around a lot in his second giant robot movie?). Just Jared grabbed the pics, and should you want to stare at LaBeouf’s body make-up some more, you can CLICK HERE.
As far as Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen news goes, /Film has been intrepid enough to be reading through the TFW forums, where co-screenwriter Roberto Orci has been answering questions about the anticipated sequel, including why Shia’s real-life hand brace is now in the film:
“Luckily nothing has to be reshot. Yes, we were on set last week to write it into the movie, not because it’s absolutely necessary, but more because we want to make sure Shia’s hand is protected for the remainder of the shoot…”

We’re hearing from Neil over at Film School Rejects that despite rumors of a month-long hiatus for the first unit production crew on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Shia might be on set right now.
Originally, we thought the actor’s car crash and crushed hand were going to keep him out of the game for another four weeks, but no one can really stop the Michael Bay juggernaut from turning out multiple setups a day, right?
As it turns out, this report has turned out to be misguided, as extremely reliable sources have informed us this afternoon that Shia LaBeouf is scheduled to return to work tomorrow. This would keep the first unit on track and avoid any delays in production, at least for the foreseeable future.
Shia could have been out for a dozen days and still avoid all delays in first unit production? There are some line producers who deserve a raise.
