Okay, this is going to be a flurry of links that might have come a tad too late. If you remember, I’m of the mind that Dollhouse was canceled in the minds of FOX execs long ago. However, I managed to tune into last week’s episode “Briar Rose” before I left the house last Friday and was surprised how Joss Whedon’s vision is falling together. For one thing, Echo is now interesting (sorry Eliza Dushku, but one-shot procedurals where you’re a back-up dancer weren’t really pulling me in). Also, Alan Tudy (Wash from Firefly) stole the show with his performance that promises to wrap up in an ultra creepy way this Friday.

Long story short, I’m impressed by Dollhouse. I get it now, Joss. I would walk y’all through why I think saving Dollhouse is now worth it, but a blog over at the TIMES did most of my work for me (SPOILERS included in the piece).

So, what am I going to do for you?

Well, Friday might be the last Dollhouse ever unless this new super-awesome story arc can prove that the series has potential for an audience. In other words, just watch it.

But, I can’t in my right mind suggest that the first episode you see of something is the last one ever broadcast, so with some help with a Dollhouse fan at AllThingsFanGirl.com, I have assembled the must watch episdoes and rejected the filler. And it’s Tuesday, so you have some time to watch some internet TV between here and Friday at 9PM EST on Fox…

I don’t know what’s up with this madness, but Sony Pictures Classics, who acquired the Duncan Jones-directed Moon at Sundance this year, seems to be only releasing the Sam Rockwell sci-fi drama in New York and LA come June 12th.

Which is much worse than this movie should be doing, distribution-wise. Granted, I’m only going by what I’ve heard about the film, but tomorrow when I head to the Tribecca Film Festival screening and try to steal myself a poster, I have a feeling I’ll be bemoaning this more.

SPC’s website has this e-mail listed for “general comments,” why not yell at them on behalf of Mr. Jones (or follow Jones on Twitter!): Sony_Classics@spe.sony.com.

Damn, damn, damn.

I was all psyched for a BioShock movie, especially with all the footage from BioShock 2 (coming later this year) seeing the light of day at various video game sites around the net. Last we heard from BioShock, Gore Verbinski, the director of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, was on board.

Now, we’re hearing an all-halt which could be signaling the first appearance of development hell’s demon…

Getting sick of hearing about Wolverine yet? 20th Century Fox hopes not. Just in case you’re still undecided about seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine this weekend to kick off the summer movie season, the director of the flick, Gavin Hood (who may or may not have sparred with execs on set) has announced that there will be multiple secret endings tacked onto different prints of the X-Men prequel when it comes out. Remember how only you and a few other folks knew to stay until after the credits during Iron Man to see Nick Fury? Yeah, it’s gonna be like that….

The schedule for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival has been announced and the American representation is at it’s lightest since 2006. Of the notable films on this years schedule: Quentin Tarantino will be screening his Inglorious Basterds, Sam Raimi will be screening his finished print of Drag Me To Hell, Ang Lee brings Talking Woodstock with Emile Hersch, Liev Schreiber, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan to France, and Terry Gilliam will bring the real last Heath Ledger film, Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. And, of course, UP’s historic opening spot.

But what does the WGA have to do with this craziness…
