What’s the best thing about getting Hi-Res trailers as downloads? Going frame-by-frame through some awesome visuals.

Beware the spoilers, boys and girls, there are brief glimpses in the Dark Knight trailer of plot details.

That we will point out and explain BELOW THE CUT!

While we stare at the countdown to the next Dark Knight trailer through the viral game (anyone making it to the NEW YORK site in about 4 hours, contact Dave now through the SEND TIPS button and he will be your online partner!), several different Dark Knight posters have popped up, some of which are obviously fakes.

From most likely to be authentic from most likely to have been made by the guy who never leaves his basement, here they are:

Probably Official

batposter1.png

This one is just too well designed and has been put through the same photo effects as the other badass Dark Knight poster we got last week. Plus, there aren’t any stills of the Bat Pod from this angle (that we know about), so this reeks of official.

Maybe Official, but We Have Our Doubts

batposter2.png

Not only does this seem kind of boring in comparison to the other posters, but the Harvey Dent face isn’t blurred in the same way as the others and The Joker’s card should obviously be a Joker. Good photoshopping, yes, but those little things, plus the fact that the poster is mostly blurred objects coming out of a very simple black background makes us think this is fan-made.

Not Official, But The Best Fan-Made One

batposter3.png

This one comes in two color corrects: one with the Dark Knight blue and one with the Batman Begins orange. Sadly, that’s also what gives it away as manufactured outside of Warner Bros. Good thing about this one is that it’s a dramatic pose, artfully blurred and colored, and even includes the new Batsuit. If it didn’t it would end up like our final poser:

Totally Fake

batposter4.png

This is very obviously compiled from stills or screen grabs from Batman Begins. The first Batsuit was much bulkier, and it shows. The posted depicts the scene at the end of Batman Begins, when we got teased by the Joker card. Not real, but probably a few frustrating hours in photoshop for someone who got sick of the viral campaign.

Thanks to Tripp and the ONTD community for showing us these posters and posers.

If you want to see the poster we deem “official” in a slightly larger format, click here!

Occasionally, we like to hop over to Google Trends in an attempt to find the celebrity stories that, you know, people actually care about. It helped us out last week when we got to talk to you about The Take, but today’s foray into general popularity was a little less expected.

Wayne Brady got divorced! He’s single! After living in “separation” status with his (ex)wife Mandie for four years, the divorce was finalized in Los Angeles Superior Court under “irreconcilable differences.”

AP says that the details were not released, but it’s already well-known that the couple will be splitting custody of their 5-year old daughter Maile Brady.

We don’t really care about Wayne Brady, we haven’t since his segment on The Chapelle Show years ago. But, apparently the public cares.

Just look at this graph!

Pipedream Products, a sex toy company has made us pretty happy and extremely interested with their new super star series.

We threw up our graphic opinions with “Good” being the total sum of the quality of the look-alike model and the writing on the package. “Hot” and “Ugly…” those are self explanatory.

Sadly, these things start at $19.95 and go up, meaning no matter how hot the cover girls are, the dolls all look cheap, like the JHo doll:

It’s an unspoken rule in Hollywood that movie posters must have big boobs on them. Which is funny, since Hollywood’s spoken rules read like a string of constant body-image insults around the tone of: “No fat chicks.”

But we forgive them, because if we don’t make someone our beauty ideal, then we won’t have any fantasies and we’ll go back to that dark period in our life when we were watching…*shiver*…home made porno…

Most recently, The Daily Mail realized that Kate Hudson’s As were Bs on the Fools Gold poster.

This follows a long line of boob-enhancing traditions on movie posters including notoriously flat Kiera Knightley and the King Arthur poster, Emma Watson and the Imax Harry Potter 5 poster, and (inexplicably) Jessica Alba in the Into the Blue promos:

Not to mention Disney’s digital breast reduction on Lindsay Lohan for the family flick Herbie: Fully Loaded. She was not loaded fully is all we’re saying.

This altering goes numerous ways when it comes to subtly tweaking an image to push a message. It’s not always about boobs, or even sex.

They made Kelly Clarkson’s ass smaller for the Justin to Kelly poster (and subsequently shrink her ass in every other promo photo):

And made OJ blacker for Time:

The one instance we’ll stand for this is when the artist behind the erotic Pirates of the Caribbean porn grew Knightley’s breasts.

Because if you’re going to go all the way in Hollywood, give us some Holy Wood…

Eh? Eh?

We kind of want to hang ourselves after that joke.

This Wenn image shows the Olsens at the Giambattista Valli show in Paris this week. Mary-Kate is the one on the right, and she’s the one that makes headlines, this time with her glasses.

These sunglasses, seemingly split between clear and tinted are on every frickin’ photo site and most gossip sites, which really makes us fear that we’re going to see those split glasses everywhere as soon as someone stocks them at a cheap price.

We thought we’d let you know, since we’re going to have to buy some to keep up our stylish gossip queen facades.

Not to mention, we can finally read in the sunlight with these shits.

Nothing like the morning New York Times to remind you that the world is still going to hell in a hand basket. The Fed might be cutting more rates because the economy is crap, gas is expensive, there is some sort of election going on that everyone has their panties in a twist about already…

Luckily, the New York Times movie section has some pertinent information. They’ve adjusted yearly box office receipts against inflation and graphed them all on a large interactive timeline that basically rocks our world.

Seeing how Titanic held it’s ground from December 1997 to May 1998 is simply amazing and remembering that Patch Adams made so much money mad us shake our heads.

You can check out the whole interactive graph here. Make sure to start at the beginning and work your way forwards to see how much Hollywood has been blowing this “people don’t go to the movies and pay us anymore” thing way out of proportion.

headline.jpg

Sadly, the story isn’t as interesting as the headline made it out to be. It’s about a guy named Greg Dyke. And, we don’t really care about the British Film Institute.

But some Variety editor is either hungover and too busy to re-work that headline or sharing a laugh with us.

We haven’t done The Dregs in awhile, and these photos are funny or noteworthy without having much of a “story” with them.

Check out one girl and 2 cups, Joaqin Phoenix, Richard Simmons’ Balls and something that’s actually really hot despite being despicable.

Some photos have leaked online via a site called TowelRoad. The pictures center around one of Brad Pitt’s new movies called The Curious Case of Benjamin Button about a man who is born elderly and ages backward.

Is anyone else getting bad Mork and Mindy flashbacks?
