Natalie Portman, Lisa Kudrow and Scott Cohen were in Downtown Manhattan yesterday filming 17 Photos of Isabel.

Wait, you might be saying - if you’re observant - weren’t Natalie Portman and Lisa Kudrow just filming a movie called Love and Other Impossible Persuits in New York and didn’t you guys have a butt-load of pictures form it?

Yes, you sharp eye’d reader you. We know from the synopsis of the book that 17 Photos is adapted from that Isabel is the name of the main character’s daughter who dies, leaving female lead isolated with William, her emotionally distant step-son.

We’re guessing there are only 17 photos of this dead baby in existence. That sounds about right.

Title change or not, major props to all involved for making it through the New York weather without being constant clad in 3-foot thick jackets.

The leaky ship that is Love and Other Impossible Pursuits (if you’ve been reading, you know it’s about an emotionally-distant second wife who has to take care of a child that isn’t hers from her husband’s previous marriage, you’ve probably also noticed that we just copy and paste that phrase and that we love parentheses) continues to leak photos from their open-air sets.

We now know that Lisa Kudrow and Scott Cohen are somehow involved in the film. IMDB hasn’t listed them yet, and no one is writing about this film because all the drama already went down (J.Lo dropped out as star, producer Portman stepped in).

So, yes. Lisa Kudrow and Natalie Portman: finally in a movie together.

Poor Natalie Portman, crying in Central Park on the set of her film Love And Other Impossible Pursuits (if you’ve been reading, you know it’s about an emotionally-distant second wife who has to take care of a child that isn’t hers from her husband’s previous marriage).

Maybe she’s weeping because her set is leaking photos like some sort of ship sailing on an ocean of digital pictures (more Portman on set HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE).

We feel like we’ve seen half the movie at this point. Any guesses on to when the shoot moves indoors? Probably before the first snow.

Natalie Portman owns her own production company called Handsomecharlie Films. They wanted to produce this movie called Love And Other Impossible Pursuits about an emotionally-distant second wife who has to take care of a child that isn’t hers from her husband’s previous marriage. J. Lo was supposed to star but dropped out. Portman stepped in to do the role herself.

Now, I realize she must be stretched thin here, but someone needs to lock down this set. Thus far, we’ve seen Natalie Portman: in a diner, walking and talking with a kid and ice skating. Now, we get her walking through some park, probably playing the key scene where her character continues to feel sorry for her lot in life, and there’s a fake baby in the baby carriage.

You’re beautiful and all, Natalie, but the more we see from the set of Love And Other Impossible Pursuits, the more we think that the other impossible pursuit might be getting us to see this movie.

If Love And Other Impossible Pursuits continues to film outdoors in New York, we’ll end up seeing a third of the movie before it even hits theaters. Natalie Portman plays an emotionally-distant second wife who has to take care of a child that isn’t hers from her husband’s previous marriage, and we know there is at least one coffee shop scene (CLICK for photos) and one walk-and-talk on the sidewalk between Portman and the kid (CLICK for photos).

Now, the Central Park ice skating rink has been added to the places where Portman will undoubtedly get closer to her not-offspring son, still played by a kid we can’t identify.

Seriously, guys, get a room to shoot in.

And props to whomever is operating that dolly on the ice!

Did you miss our few, unexciting on set photos from Love And Other Impossible Pursuits yesterday? You can catch up HERE, because we explained the uber-depressing plot that has Natalie Portman as an emotionally-distant second wife who has to take care of a child that isn’t hers from her husband’s previous marriage.

As opposed to yesterday’s photoset, which mostly pictured Portman walking from her trailer to a diner, today’s mess-o-pics covers the walk-and-talk out of that diner and features the kid in the film, walking with a very-stressed looking character played by Portman. When Natalie is just Natalie, she’s all smiles, though she’d probably be frowning if she knew she was on a first-name basis with The Bad and Ugly.

When Jennifer Lopez bailed on a film adaptation of Love And Other Impossible Pursuits, Natalie Portman jumped in as both producer and star, which is very admirable. Love, a Don Roos-directed adaptation of an Ayelet Waldman novel, is currently filming in New York City, which means it’s nearly impossible to keep photographers off set, it’s just possible to make them limit their pictures to the celebrities.

Wikipedia is quick to summarize the book’s plot:

Emilia Greenleaf is an attorney living in New York city with her husband, John Wolf. Emilia is stepmother to John’s 4-year-old son, William, who is a remarkably intelligent child. William lives primarily with his mother, the medical doctor Carolyn Soule. It is Emilia’s job, however, to pick up William from his nursery school every Wednesday afternoon. When she picks him up, Emilia is often subjected to snide glances and whispers from the other mothers because, it transpires, her relationship with her husband began when he was still with his wife. They had an office affair, and eventually the marriage dissolved. The reader also learns early on that Emilia and John recently lost their own child together, a girl they named Isabel. They had the baby home for only one day, as she died overnight of SIDS in Emilia’s arms after being fed.

We left off the ending, because if you read that paragraph, chances are you care as much as we do at this point, which is near nil. Portman will be playing Emilia Greenleaf, and we would totally leave our wife for her new look in this film, so that’s - like - half the tension gone already.

Remember when she went bald for V for Vendetta? Yeah. Her hair is 100x better. And we don’t even know sh*t about hair. We just know what we like, and we like Natalie Portman.
