William Shatner got all hot an bothered for TV’s Extra recently about his absence from the new, JJ Abram’s re-launch of Star Trek. We know that Leonard Nimoy will be Spock in the film, but Shatner has not been approached.
Says Bill: “How could you not put one of the founding figures into a movie that was being resurrected? That doesn’t make good business sense to me…I’ve become even more popular than I was playing Captain Kirk. I’m good box office and I get publicity…. But, they are going in a different direction and it’ll be a wonderful film.”
For those of you that have been following the spoilers, Kirk is dead (he’s been killed in the past by Eric Bana) and Spock has to travel through the Guardian of Forever to warn young Spock to watch out for young Kirk.
Time-lines split, continuities go out the window, and you still got a pretty bad-ass death scene in Generations, Shatner, so keep your head down and stop bitchin’!
