It’s been great sharing my thoughts on movie news and rumors (and a bit o’ pop culture) with you folks, but The Bad and Ugly will close a week from today, Friday May 15th.

If the blame must fall on someone, blame the economy, because my bosses and editors have been nothing but supportive of this tiny blog that was, at best, the mutated cousin of Coming Soon.

As far as I know, the actual webspace and URL will remain the same and all this content can still be found here, so over the next week, I’ll be shutting out the site with some cool stuff for movie geeks . I have some of these things planned, but since the site is and has always been about the circle of internet pop-culture junkies we all are/know, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail via the above “SEND TIPS” link about…well, about anything.

I’ll be back on Monday 05/11/09 on a regular schedule to bring you what I would want from a site like mine. Considering I won’t be around to follow up on new castings and rumors, we’ll be looking an general pieces about the industry and the internet industry that follows said industry. I’ll discuss what sites I feel make a “balanced diet” of daily film reading, re-highlight some of my old posts with new updates (Hunt For Gollum should totally be on the Best Fan Films list) and generally try to organize this site’s information so it can be readily accessible.

It’s been a privilege sharing with you. I mean it.
