The project we’ll be discussing here is Humpty Dumpty 3D, which - by title alone - sounds like a lame, multi-dimensional version of Veggie Tales or something. Call me crazy, but as a guy who loves re-imagined fictional characters (especially in the comics form like Fables or Alan Moore’s League of Extraordinary Gentleman), I wasn’t sold on Humpty’s story being optioned.
Until I read more about it…
From Variety:
The 3-D sci-fi horror pic is about a half-human, half-alien creature who embarks on a murderous rampage after his alien mother is abused by two rednecks in the Deep South.
OOOOOH. So it’s not creepy egg Humpty like above, but something like this r-tard:

That has a lot more potential.
Though, for what it’s worth, David R. Ellis is on board to direct. Ellis did some cool second unit photography on a bunch of movies you’ve most likely heard of, but the thing he’s directed you most certainly know is Snakes On A Plane.
The question I’m asking myself is: Was Snakes On A Plane an excellent execution of a bad idea or a great idea poorly executed? Depending on the answer, Humpty Dumpty could either be really cool or, like, one of the Leprechaun sequels.
