Ok, so Kathryn Bigelow, director of cool vampire flick Near Dark, but also K19: Widowmaker, the Harrison Ford film that is the only film poster I own that I refuse to put up, has a new film on its way called The Hurt Locker. It’s about an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team stationed in Iraq. They got around disarming bombs.

Which is a great pitch. I just wish I knew what this film was gong to do besides showing me exploding things. I’m all up for some character drama and exploding things, but I’m NOT up for being lectured about how all the armed services are important and we sent them over there, blah, blah, blah.

I don’t mind those films, but too often I’m lured in because I want to see a war drama with exploding things.

Check out the trailer…
