The good news is that The Ugly Truth wasn’t made for me, I don’t think it was even made for guys. But the thing about women and their romantic comedies, is that you can fit an unusual amount of scantily clad hoes and chauvinistic jokes in the film, AND let your lead woman act like a bitch as long as it ends up like it’s supposed to. In this case, Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler will be getting together. That means powerful women need a chauvinistic man around to keep them in line.

And thus, Romantic Comedies continue to be films powered by THE MAN for WOMEN pandering to MEN.

Good thing Katherine Heigl looks like she has stone-cold bitch-face most of the time and I won’t be drug to this movie. No sir. I will make all my anal sex jokes on the way to the theater with whomever convinces me through the power of their beauty (I’m guessing woman, but don’t shut down your options) to see this…well, this Ugly Truth that isn’t the titular one.
