Ok, I’m going to type it. Ready? I was wrong.
Seriously, I think I was very mistaken with a few things pertaining to that clammy-looking mouthless dude I’ve been assuming is Deadpool since a few weeks ago (HERE). I was REALLY wrong yesterday when I posted a thumbnail and described him as a Frankenstein with the power of cyclops, but still as Deadpool:

Inside, reader Jay(WeaponXQc), sets me straight…

after rewinding a couple of time, it became pretty clear that Deadpool was given Cyclops’ powers. When I got back home, downloaded the HD version of the trailer (found on MTV.com) and started going frame by frame to get a better look at this dude. I’m including caps and montages. Thing is, I’m having doubts… Up to this point, I was pretty sure, like you, that the frankenstein-looking dude was scarred Deadpool (because of the toy pic that was found not too long ago). But after a little search on my side here’s what I came up with:
On IMDB’s X-men Origins: Wolverine page there’s an actor named Scott Adkins, who’s reportedly been cast as Weapon XI in the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. [From Wikipedia] Weapon XI’s powers include several abilities from mutants in the film, such as forearm claws and optic blasts.
So how did this one go so wrong for old Dave? It was that damn Deadpool toy (HERE) explained by Scott Adkins (Weapon XI) also occasionally being Ryan Reynolds’ stunt double. So, as far as anyone can tell, the Deadpool toy was simply mislabeled.
OR Deadpool could turn into Mutant XI, in which case all Deadpool comic fans will jump the Wolverine ship.
More on this topic at MTV, who - for the record - posted their story after Jay sent me his tip. I was just sleeping, which you all knew I did. Don’t act so surprised.
