Ah, British Tabloids. We want to believe you since the slander laws over there are more loosely defined than a Kardashian at Jello Shots night.

Matthew Goode, aside from having a similar name to a superior Canadian singer-songwriter, plays Adrian Veidt, better known as Ozymandias, in Watchmen. In the vein of the comic, he’s considered the smartest man in the world and transitions his alter ego into a multi-million dollar business after the decline of wearing a mask. He’s also best known over here for his role in First Daughter, so take that as you will.

But randomly, it seems he’s getting tired of the Fanboy backlash–which is news to us, since fanboys seem to love this movie. It’s just critics and people who hate being thrown crap films while having others shout how “Visionary” it is. The Sun has the naughty bits:

He said: “The negative feedback is relayed by my friends. I think the fanboys aren’t particularly happy – there are a load of people they’d have rather had in before me.

“It’s already being slated before they’ve seeing anything.

“But if fanboys still hate the film after going and seeing it, they can all line up and s*** my d***.

“I don’t give a f***.”

Matthew added: “I’m having a child and that’s more important to me – so I don’t give a f***.

“Grow a d***.”

Now to be fair, no other source or attribution is given for these quotes. So this could’ve been Goode piss-drunk at a Soccer game or being told to read off a sheet of paper. But a number of fan forums have referred to him as being unequivocally gayer–like, seriously, being told to play Veidt as more of a dandy than previously. At the same time, the Sun also calls the character “Andrew Veidt.” So, who knows. Maybe they’re all just idiots.
