Confirming our worst fears, the Spider-Man musical is good to for 2010. Given the official cringe-worthy title of “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark,” this is the long-believed joke collaboration between Bono and Edge from U2, directed by Julie “The Lion King” Taymor.

LA Times’ Culture Monster has it that Evan Rachel Wood confirms herself–for now, we imagine–as Mary Jane and previews start January 16 2010. Personally, we can’t think of a better reason than to hope the Apocalypse does happen in 2012. If only so we don’t have to spend the rest of our lives shaking our head at this monstrosity.
