Neal McDonough was amazingly awesome in Band Of Brothers. I’m just saying that because I like war movies, I like man movies, and I like the ability Neal has to make his eyes look super-serious or soul-crushingly empty.
Which is why my interest was piqued when he mentioned playing Captain America…
From FirstShowing:
Yesterday afternoon I interviewed with one of my favorite actors, Neal McDonough, who plays M. Bison in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. As the interview was wrapping up, I asked him about what he’s doing next, as part of a question about what he looks for in scripts. And at the last second, he said that, “I think it’s time for me to go back to playing some of the really good guys who can get the job done, like Captain America, maybe.” I immediately asked him if that was a hint, and his response was even more confusing.
That little speech certainly gave the impression that Neil is at least a Captain America fan. It also seems like Marvel either hasn’t contacted this guy but he really wants them too, or they have and he’s sending subtle, subliminal waves to execs, hoping he’ll be picked.
Though everyone who isn’t married to Angelina Jolie will see their Marvel hopes dashed if Brad Pitt decides to enter the comic-book arena.
