As I’ve stated before, I’m a big fan of Robert Rodriguez’s story. Making movies for low budgets, then getting a good reputation so you can make the films that you want, team up with Quentin Tarantino for Grindhouse, do some 3-D kids movies for extra cash, it’s a good life.

Too bad he hasn’t MADE a movie since Grindhouse. He keeps attaching himself to stuff and not making it (cue Woman in Chains! , Sin City 2, Red Sonja…).

Well, good news for us, it looks like he’s settling on a next project…

It’s called Neveracker and it already has a release date: April 16, 2010.

Set in 2085, the story centers on a character named Joe Tezca who is part of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave in a theoretically perfect future society.

All of this was confirmed by Variety, who is having an equally hard time with this slow news week.
