Yes, there is a Three Stooges movie in production (we covered it HERE), but the current rumor being published on online gossip sites is without merit. Don’t believe what you read, because Johnny Depp is probably not going to be playing Moe and Sean Penn is probably not going to be playing Curly.

This rumor comes from In Touch magazine, and the odds of both of these serious actors attaching themselves to script-less Three Stooges film is near-impossible. I could see one of them doing it as a fluke, but not without any sort of green-lit script from MGM, who still has none.

Then again, if I’m wrong and In Touch is right, I’m going to feel stupid.
