You best believe there is another Fast & Furious trailer under this cut.
At some point, one might as well throw his hands up in the air and admit: “Look: cars, women, guns, badassery. I was only against it because I didn’t want this drivel to become a franchise.”
But it did become a franchise. This is the fourth one, and it even brought back the original cast. I might as well let it happen. Yeah, I’m fine with the Fast & Furious franchise. There is lots about it that is laughable, and if we were to separate all films into “worth it” and “not,” all 3 existing films would be in the “not” pile (possibly the entirety of Vin Diesel’s career would be in that pile).
But that’s why the box office speaks for us, in the hope that if people don’t want to be told what they want, they at least have the power to vote with their wallet, and a fourth Fast & Furious has been voted in.
If it’s any consolation, this one has had better previews than the previous three combined…
When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Conner. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to out manuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.
