Something happened to me two nights ago that resulted in this Twitter reminder to myself. I’m really trying to remember what it was that I drunkenly found so amusing about Resident Evil: Extinction that I would label it “high art.”
Probably because at the end of the third Resident Evil film, Paul W.S. Anderson’s crazy starts showing, what with multiple Milla Jovovichs and a handful of throwbacks to the original film with it’s laser mesh and Red Queen.
I’d have to watch it sober to see what “high art” concept I saw in the trilogy-capper of a series that I frequently talk shit about.
However, the cliffhanger ending that I always assume wouldn’t lead to another film actually is…

Ah, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, you’re kind of charming in a old-days-of-Brendan-Fraiser kind of way.
The above is the Superbowl Ad for Return To Witch Mountain as debuted by MTV, but what’s inside is actually more titillating.
PETA made a ad featuring scantily clad women almost gettin’ busy with veggies and the ad was turned down for being to sexual, so PETA’s all pissed, but no one cares, because PETA sucks.
