Just thought we’d throw up a post before we were done with our morning reading. It was a pretty quiet couple of days around the internet, but now everyone has to hit the ground running if they are going to post their Top Ten ______ List before the new year.

We’re going to be testing out some little formatting fun-ness and hoping to bring you the same highlighted entertainment absurdity over into 2009. And what better way to highlight that things have remained the same than another Batman 3 rumor that was e-mailed to us over the holiday.

Outside of the obvious disclaimer that we know nothing about Batman 3 because Nolan hasn’t even started working on it yet, this was the complete text of the e-mail:

The movie is being made. Nolan is directing. It’s much farther along in the process then they are letting on. This is the first make-up test of Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin.

Hey, we enjoy Photoshopping fake Batman posters as much as anyone else, and this Hoffman/Nosferatu mesh ain’t so bad (though we doubt any make-up artist could make Seymour-Hoffman’s nose look like that), but the sideways bat-logo doesn’t look enough like a 3 to really be used in that way.

Just our non-professional opinion.

Back to the internets and coffee, we’ve only got 3 more days of 2008 to cover, then it starts all again.
