Will Farrell plays park ranger Rick Marshall in the film adaptation of Land Of The Lost, the hit 1974 TV series (later remade in 1991 for two short seasons).

The Land Of The Lost film has been in the development run-around since 1995, when the rights to the movie adaptation were owned by Disney. When the Mouse House didn’t pull the trigger, it moved to Sony Pictures in 2000 where it floundered until April 2005, when Universal picked it up and booted it towards Adam McKay and Will Farrell of Anchorman and FunnyorDie.com. Universal then took the project to Robert Rodriguez, who was going around town attaching his name to anything that moved (at the time), including a live action adaptation of The Jetsons, which thankfully wasn’t greenlit. When Robert finally passed, Brad Silberling (Casper, City Of Angels) was brought in to direct Farrell as the star.

We know all that, but we really don’t know that much about the movie, except it now has a poster. You can view the full thing at Cinematical by clicking the banner image (or HERE). You can see the film itself on June 5th, 2009.
