Don’t worry, we have someone writing up the details on the new Beverly Hills Cop movie right now, it’s just that this week, the Britney Spears Team is going to try to pull off a comeback we thought impossible a year ago. Or two years ago.
Today, during what some would call a “lunch break” (though more accurately described as a sudden feeding frenzy followed by half-an-hour of bathroom reading), MTV will re-broadcast last night’s Britney: For The Record that was supposed to answer all of our questions about her, but really just made us feel bad for the poor girl.
If the recent Rolling Stone article seems a little sterile, look towards the editor’s letter in the beginning of the magazine and learn that Britney is impossible to talk to because she’s on super-controlled career lockdown. Her dad, Jamie Spears, still controls all her legal rights, who she hires and what happens to her money, so the person we’re seeing on tour with a single “Womanizer” dance routine looks a little dead behind the eyes.
Tomorrow sees the release of her album, Circus, which means this week officially begins the Britney Spears Comeback Watch. Because pulling this amount of damage control off will be a feat to watch.
Below the cut, we show you Britney’s 3 performances of Womanizer seen thus far only in Europe. We have a video from Germany’s Bambi Awards, a video from Paris’ Star Academy and one from London’s X-Factor. Notice the eerily-similar routines inside…

That clown face that appears behind her in every video is going to haunt our womanizing nightmares.
