After some photos leaked on Defamer showing the poster with the backwards text that promoted The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, we started wondering why Paramount felt content to print off a slew of these posters and send them to theaters without telling us.

Us, the internet must know all before physical copies are made.

Lucky for them, we have no gripes with the one sheets. Even though we like to complain about floating-head syndrome on posters, these are some honest, classic looking character shots, and the addition of the backwards text on the Pitt version to symbolize Button’s backwards-aging is subtle and classic.

Next time, though, you might want to float these posters by the fanbase a little sooner. We’ll watch Fincher’s film on Christmas if we can, even if early reviews say it’s a little slow.
