First Look: An Invisible Sign Of My Own

Jessica Alba! Children! Nothing could go wrong here, right?

Jessica Alba has begun shooting An Invisible Sign Of My Own, based on the novel of the same name by Aimee Bender and from a screenplay by Pam Falk and Mike Ellis (The Wedding Planner). Helming the flick is Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom).

All we can say is Jessica Alba’s recent motherhood (she had Honor Marie Warren on June 7th this year) better not set off a series of roles where she forgets that the only reason she draws huge numbers is because she’s hot. We’re guessing one thing you aren’t going to hear for at least another half-a-decade (if at all) is: “The Oscar goes to…Jessica Alba.”

Invisible Sign has started filming here in New York, and though we have no idea who that kid is (Mackenzie Milone?), Alba plays Mona Gray, a young woman who has retreated from the world and is consumed by numbers and math. But - SURPRISE! - things change in her life when she becomes a second grade math teacher.

Jessica Alba, please be hot again. Or learn to act better.
