Special thanks to those of you who wrote in to tell us about this teaser, and a special shout-out to John Lo of Denver, Colorado. Today is the man’s birthday, and this Angels & Demons teaser turns on the revelation that the Illuminati are after the Vatican (through murder and a well-placed bomb) in the Rob Howard/Tom Hanks Da Vinci Code sequel. John Lo fears the Illuminati and was born on Halloween.

Lest we be called traitors, be warned, Valkyrie may not be the shit show we heard it once was. Whatever has changed in the rumor-and-buzz climate is sure to be the calculated work of some faceless marketing department, but occasionally those think-tanks work - thank God, because someone is paying them enough.
Though use of the SAW theme over the end of the trailer was a little obvious given it’s the week after SAW V opened and IS Halloween, but the premise behind the preview is solid…

Thank you, Best Week Ever, for summarizing the Jenna Jamison/Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) B-movie Zombie Strippers. I don’t really know anything much more about it, and based on this video, I don’t need to.
Happy Halloween. May a Zombie Stripper not eat your dick today.

Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Preacher graphic novels follow the story of – you guessed it! – a Preacher, one possessed by the spirit of the offspring of an angel and a demon, as he and his vampire friend gallivant around the US.
We’re going to be honest here, we haven’t finished Preacher yet.
Suffice to say that it’s a well-written, supernatural, weird-but-in-that-good way comic series and it may be coming to a theater near you, if new reports can be trusted anymore than the dozens of reports from years ago that this was going to happen…

Mark Millar, the comic book writer behind Wanted and the upcoming Kick-Ass has said publicly that he has an idea for a new Superman relaunch, and now that no Supes is in the pipeline, he’s starting to talk about it a little bit more…

The above is one of a few new photos from Bryan Singer’s Valkyrie, starring Tom Crusie as an anti-Hitler Nazi who tries to take the mustache down! Cruise and United Artists just hope that he doesn’t take Cruise’s career down with it. The film opens December 26th, in time for an Oscar nod, but we’ll be able to judge based on a new trailer released late tonight at 11PM EST.

Yes, this Page Six Blind Item is in no way “news.” But, it is bad, ugly, absurd and totally ridiculous, especially when I keep waking up to financial crisis after financial crisis:
WE HEAR…that Olympic hero Michael Phelps - besides banking a bundle from endorsements - picked up $100,000 for appearing at an LA pool party for a TV network chief’s wife and swimming some laps.
Defamer guesses that the wife is bride-of-CBS Julie Chen. We’re just happy that our most hated (NBC’s Ben Silverman) is single.
