There were many different titles we could have given this post, so we’ll just do the 3 we couldn’t decide on.

We got our first really good look at Jude Law as Watson in Guy Richie’s November 2009 (expected) Sherlock Holmes re-imagining. Like classic Watsons before him, it looks like Jude Law will spend most of his time in crowds, looking concerned, and eventually chronicling the adventures of his counterpart. Negative points if he does a direct-address speech at the beginning or end of the film.

We’re not sure what’s going on here. We initially thought that Sherlock Holmes was having some sort of stroke in public, but the more we looked at the photo, the less likely it looked that Robert Downey Jr (as Sherlock) was on camera at this time. The best option we could come up with was that Robert Downey Jr is about to kill the boom operator. The film will later be dedicated to the boom operator’s memory.

Cattle prod, away! We knew that Guy Richie’s Sherlock Holmes was a little tougher than traditional views of the character, but here we see a scene shot for an action sequence where Sherlock jumps out a window, cattle-prod in hand, after a large-looking thug. The wires will most certainly be deleted later. But check out that counter-weight sandbag! Ooooh! Ahhhh! Sandbag!
