Fan Restores Back To The Future Hover BMW

hover_bmw.jpg

We thought restoring one of the original Ghostbuster-mobiles and auctioning it off on eBay was pretty sweet, but we had no idea that this sweetness even existed. Now, thanks to Gawker Media’s Jalopnik, we know that BTTF fanboy Jeff Chabotte found and restored Griff Tannen’s BMW 633 Hovercraft from Back To The Future Part II.

We’re guessing his restoration process didn’t include installing hover technology (damn you film science, getting our hopes up for the 21st century!), but maybe it’s because he didn’t discover the magical powers of Coca-Cola just yet.

If the above picture tantalizes you, you should CHECK OUT the gallery of photos featuring the restoration of this movie gem. It involved tearing everything out, re-painting and probably a dozen or so other tasks we’re too lazy to do.
