Seriously, NBC, Knight Rider? There is nothing – and we mean literally nothing when we write this – redeeming about NBC’s Knight Rider reboot. The acting could be easily replicated by trained monkeys and the voice actors from Kids WB’s Saturday Morning lineup, Kitt brings all the annoyance of Val Kilmer, but none of the coolness of Val Kilmer since he’s essentially just selling Ford products.

Is Ford Paying for this…

…or did we just get stuck with a full season of Knight Rider because Ben Silverman is too chicken to admit his failure?

Ok. We’re settling down a little, but it’s still baffles us that a one-shot TV movie that didn’t do that well could somehow be adapted into a shitty series that – once again – isn’t doing that well and yet would get renewed for a full season. Not only renewed, but the FIRST NBC show to be renewed for a full season.

It further goes to show that NBC’s fall line-up is weak once you strip away the show with built-in audiences (Heroes, The Office, the yet-to-premiere 30 Rock).

Knight Rider joins FOX’s Fringe and Sarah Conner Chronicles, CBS’ The Mentalist and CW’s 90210 in the “full season winners” pile.
