Last night, Senator John McCain finally made it up to David Letterman after unceremoniously bailing on him earlier this month. There’s an awkward joke or two about being a former prisoner of war, some backtracking on why he exactly failed to show and even a half-assed apology.
Of course, it only gets worse as Letterman puts the screws on McCain for the terrorist remarks and counters the infamous Ayers with G. Gordon Liddy, who was tried and convicted of helping the Watergate burglary, featuring how McCain accepts money from him and appears on his radio program.
