Who? Which one is Ann Hathaway? Is “bandersnatch” poor attempt a dirty joke?

The Hollywood Reporter, um, reports that Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married) and Helena Bonham Carter will star in Tim Burton’s 3D/Live-Action/Mo-Cap Alice in Wonderland for Disney.

Helena B/C was obviously going to happen, she’s already on set and she’s been in every Tim Burton film since Planet of the Apes, but Hathaway is quite the surprise, and a pleasant one.

Bonham Carter will be playing the familiar “off with her head” Red Queen, while Hathaway will be taking the role of her sister, the White Queen, a character that was not adapted out of the novel for the Disney animated film. The report indicates that the White Queen will need Alice’s help to slay a creature called The Bandersnatch, which is mentioned in the Jabberwocky poem in the book.

Just don’t sleep with Anne Hathaway. She has the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. And it’s fatal.
