We wonder if there are any sort of statistics concerning these celebrity voting ads. It seems like multiple times a year, a whole bunch of celebrities are standing against a solid-color background and being as “real” as they can, trying their damnedest to get us to care about [voting/cancer/AIDS/WGA Strike/Global Warming/Energy Conservation/_Blank_ Aid/Whatever].

We’re of the opinion that celebrity PSAs don’t really work. We’re also of the opinion that if you aren’t aware about deadlines of when to register to vote in your state, you might not care enough to check it out. And if you don’t care enough to do the paperwork to vote, you know what? Maybe you shouldn’t. Maybe you should leave voting to the people who know who/why/how their voting and have made an attempt to understand the issues.

Sure, every non-felon American citizen can vote, but every non-felon American citizen can do a lot of things, and most of us are idiots that watch Two and A Half Men.

So don’t vote, or do, but watch this video so our advertisers can flash things at you for an extra four minutes.
