This might be a minor spoiler, but we’ve become frustrated with bizarro-world Mark Wahlberg and his entourage of cronies. Yes, Jeremy Piven still keeps us tuning in, even when Ari Gold’s storyline is oh-so-brief and oh-so-pointless. The guy has won an Emmy for doing this 3 years in a row, so it must be worth it.
Anyway, this season, Vincent is going broke and - like every season of Entourage - there will be a series of meaningless escapades about Vinny doing “the movie,” then when it gets to the point that we might actually see “the movie” or “the movie” is released, we get another season break and once again we hope that the next one is better.
Last season was really a low-point for the series, but this season has been keeping us entertained (except the premiere, but that’s a whole ‘nother bitch-session) by introducing a script by a few unknown writers that piques the interest of both Vincent Chase and Edward Norton.
We giggled to ourselves when Ed Norton (yet to show up on the series) was talking about re-writing the last half of the script to make it character-based action. Sounds like someone was paying attention to the Hulk drama!
Anyway, magically on the internet, the poster for Vincent Chase and Edward Norton’s Smoke Jumpers has appeared, long before our characters have gone through enough un-related side-plots to reveal that Ridley Scott is the fake director (probably an episode), Charlize Theron, Steve Bucsemi co-star (cameo please) and perhaps the oddest SPOILER: the fake writing credit for the fake movie goes to Giovanni Haas, but where the season stands now, Eric is repping TWO filmmakers who wrote the screenplay.
So, is Entourage going to have an episode with whiny screenwriters finally?
