Dave’s off to go make himself look like Dean Venture and to see Zack & Miri Make a Porno so the weekend numbers show the MPAA that there are several people out there who would like to see a movie with Porno in the title.

We’ll be checking back to make sure the world doesn’t explode while we’re not on watch, and booking trips to the following HAUNTED HOLLYWOOD LOCATIONS.

Happy Halloween from The Bad & Ugly staffers.

It’s a sad, sad Halloween. Fox has decided not to renew King of the Hill for a fourteenth season.

King of the Hill’s original creators Greg Daniels (who went on to create The Office and the upcoming Amy Pohler sitcom) and Mike Judge (launching a new animated series, The Goode Family, on ABC next year) have fled the creative portion of the show, so we’re not forced to see King of the Hill drastically re-invented with a new team of writers (like the recent years of lackluster Simpsons).

It’s just a show that we here at The Bad & Ugly will mourn, because it was consistent in it’s tone and comedy for an amazing 13 seasons, constantly living in the shadow of The Simpsons, the most prolific and longest running animated series ever. Just that a usually-under watched show managed to hold its own through both The Simpsons and Family Guy on FOX is astounding, and we’re going to miss Hank, Bobby and Peggy…

Amy Pohler is out, taking care of her baby Archie Arnett, and the election ends on Tuesday, meaning SNL will need to milk something else to stay culturally relevant. So who’s the big coup of a guest-star we’re hearing about?

Fanboys! We’re finally getting Fanboys. After a long fight for it’s release, and it’s ever-changing actual release date, we will get the full version of Fanboys next year.

Yes, we’re a little disappointed that after a year of stop-and-go, the best thing marketing could come up with was a 40-Year-Old Virgin rip-off, but more posters could be coming, and as long as we get a movie out in 2009, we’re in.

For Kristin Bell alone, if nothing else.

For Spider-Man 2, Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Chabon was brought on to draft the screenplay. General consensus seems to be that most of his work was re-written several times before producing the Spider-Man 2 we all know, love and held at a high enough standard to have those standards decimated by Spider-Man 3’s two dance sequences (maybe three, if you count the breakfast-making boogie).

Now, Sony looks to be trying to recreate magic by bringing on another Pulitzer Prize Winner to draft Spider-Man 4, which should see the return of Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, Kirstin Dunst as Mary Jane and Sam Raimi as reluctant director…

Special thanks to those of you who wrote in to tell us about this teaser, and a special shout-out to John Lo of Denver, Colorado. Today is the man’s birthday, and this Angels & Demons teaser turns on the revelation that the Illuminati are after the Vatican (through murder and a well-placed bomb) in the Rob Howard/Tom Hanks Da Vinci Code sequel. John Lo fears the Illuminati and was born on Halloween.

He also believes in aliens…

Lest we be called traitors, be warned, Valkyrie may not be the shit show we heard it once was. Whatever has changed in the rumor-and-buzz climate is sure to be the calculated work of some faceless marketing department, but occasionally those think-tanks work - thank God, because someone is paying them enough.

Though use of the SAW theme over the end of the trailer was a little obvious given it’s the week after SAW V opened and IS Halloween, but the premise behind the preview is solid…

Thank you, Best Week Ever, for summarizing the Jenna Jamison/Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) B-movie Zombie Strippers. I don’t really know anything much more about it, and based on this video, I don’t need to.

Happy Halloween. May a Zombie Stripper not eat your dick today.
