More Photos From Tim Burton’s Alice

Tim Burton has wasted no time in starting up his Alice and Wonderland shoot up in Cornwall, England, where just this week INF Daily managed to take photos of 17-year-old Australian actress Mia Wasikowska as Alice. Also sighted, Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton himself and their baby Nell, who looked be dressed in period costume. Or they just dress their baby in capes, because they are Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter.

The scenes shot last week are rumored to be Alice sent on a voyage after she has returned from her adventure in Wonderland, and we’ve also heard a rumor that crew members were telling nosy onlookers that Alice was sailing to China. Take that with a grain of teamster salt (the second saltiest salt, the first being salty dog sailor salt).

Well, we have more photos that aren’t the highly circulated INF ones. So, take that…

Today, we bring you more photos from the set of Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, expected to be a partially CG animated feature for Disney on March 5th, 2010. Johnny Depp has not yet traveled to set to start his days as the Mad Hatter, nor have Little Britain stars (and stars of tonight’s premiere Little Britain USA on HBO) Matt Lucas and David Walliams, rumored to have been cast as Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.

It looks like we’re still in stuffy, old, “real England” with these photos, but Wasikowska’s Alice looks to be keeping her baby-blue-themed dress, a similar riff off the animated classic. In these photos, she wanders around set in the third variation of a baby-blue dress we’ve seen in just two batches of photos.

Our favorite? The inspired angle of the dining an changing area, where a rogue pole makes the sign read: “Crowd Dining & Hanging.” Burton must run a strict set where extras are often hung for poor background work.

I can only imagine what it will look like with the correct filters and color correction on the big screen… props to the casting director on this one!
