Bits and pieces have been reported on the web about Coraline, based on Neil Gaiman’s (Sandman comics, Beowulf and Stardust) young adult’s story about a girl who gets sucked into a parallel world where and evil “Other Mother” and “Other Father” want to keep her there.
Gaiman teamed up with Nightmare Before Christmas Director Henry Selick to make the film in, what we’re assuming will be, amazing 3-D stop motion.
We’ve read the book, a few times since this project has been announced, and - as per usual - we’re looking for someone to treat Neil Gaiman material right so we can start getting Zach Snyder on Sandman (we’re kidding, we think).
Shock Till You Drop has an amazing report from the set HERE and a series of exclusive behind-the-scenes photos HERE, and if there was any way we could steal them in good conscious, we would have, because Coraline is either going to be a sleeper hit like Nightmare or pull in some serious box office.
