Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh are still hard at work making Matt Damon look less sexy. The two are currently working on The Informant, where Damon plays Mark Whitacre, one of the men involved in the mid-90s lysine price-fixing scandal. That may not seem like much, but Whitacre is the highest-level whistle-blower the FBI ever managed to flip, even though he ended up spending some jail time on embezzlement charges.
“It’s like I was two people,” Whitacre said to the Herald-Review. “I assume that’s why they chose Matt Damon for the movie, because he plays those roles that have such psychological intensity. In the ‘Bourne’ movies, he doesn’t even know who he is.
“When you’re working for three years undercover, you get to the point where you don’t know who you are. There was one point where my wife said to me, ‘Who do you work for now?’ ”
That might explain the two different-looking Damons in the photos (we’ve seen ‘stache Damon before), or maybe the photogs caught him when he wasn’t working? Not likely. Onward, Damon work-horse! We can’t wait until these films start coming out.
