Sharon Stone Kicked Off Mermaid Island
Have you heard of Mermaid Island? It’s supposedly a “$50 million dollar US-China production” that is a whole bunch of fighting underwater creatures. The teaser poster is above, and – in case you can’t read it, grandma – the tag line is: “The only sea world fantasy action blockbuster movie in history.”
The qualifiers in that are “fantasy,” “action,” and “sea world,” striking off The Abyss somehow.
Anyway!
Sharon Stone was supposed to have a part in this film, the newest offering from the Catwoman creative team, but got kicked off the project because of blaming the Chinese earthquake on bad Tibetan karma.
What we know is that Sharon Stone will no longer be involved in “four races, humans, mermaids, some beastie and mythical creatures, not always living together peacefully.” We do know that Monica Bellucci is still on to play the Mermaid Queen and Liang Yanfei is still the mermaid that falls in love with a human.
