Yeah. This is weird. Really weird. Especially since Aiken has always been kind of asexual in our mind. Ever since he declared himself asexual, that is.

Can you think of some outlandish way that Aiken’s (can we call him Gayken now?) sperm could get out of his body and into a uterus…

This is ballsy for 50 Cent, and we have to say we applaud him for it. Even if we were firmly on the side of Kanye when he and 50 had the whole mutually-beneficial rivalry of record releases on the same day, this new idea sounds like a winner that we want to get behind.

50 Cent is going to start a reality series with MTV that takes 16 kids and has them compete to “to master the skills that elevated 50 from the streets to the top of the charts.” That sort of sounds like: “Who can survive the most bullets,” but we’re pretty sure they are talking business, marketing and other “real life skills.”

The best part, though, is the prize…

Word in the press circles is that we shouldn’t expect a singing turn from Knightley in the future, even though she doesn’t seem to warble that poorly in a newly released clip from The Edge of Love, a film we last talked about when its trailer was released.

The news wire has some nice quotes about what makes skinny-Kiera shake in her period costumes: “I did some lessons with a voice coach because I can’t sing. There were 100 extras and John (Maybury, the director) was like, ‘Now you’re going to sing…’

“I’ve never been so frightened in my entire life.”

“I don’t know how singers do it. I never want to have to do it again. I don’t want to be a rock star.”

Check out the clip and judge for yourself below the cut!

ouija.jpg

Is it just us, or has Michael Bay and David Berenbaum’s Platinum Dunes production company getting a little cocky? “We want to remake Friday the 13th” was semi-expected in the current Hollywood climate, where you only have to trick people into seeing a movie opening weekend to get your next project funded, but “Let’s make a Ouija Board movie” is just plain bold.

It might be a really stupid idea, but it’s too early to call. We do know some information, but not enough to whip out the post of judgment (where did “post” come from?)…

We haven’t yet got the opportunity to view The Wackness, unlike /Film, which has seen it multiple times and continues to sing the flick’s praises. We do know it is about Luke (Josh Peck), a drug dealer in 1994 who trades pot for therapy with borderline pedophile Dr Squires (played by Ben Kingsley, looking extra hippie). Eventually, Luke falls for Dr. Squires’ daughter Stephanie and we’re sure romantic comedy ensues.

We also know that thus far, The Wackness is struggling to produce a trailer that sums it up as more than a movie that Mary Kate Olsen is in.

Maybe the suits are shaping up, as a new Viral campaign has hit the net, introducing itself as recently pulled from the archives of Manhattan public access television, it’s Luke Shapiro’s Dope Show. It’s hosted by the main character of the film and is supposed to take place in 1994 (also like the film)…

Two things jump to mind with these photographs from Motherhood’s set in the West Village (NY) yesterday:

1) Uma Thurman is much hotter when people are trying to make her look “plain.” Pre Poison Ivy in Batman and Robin, she was way hot. And kind of looking like this. In that sense, we’re in favor of this film.

2) Before we look up the plot to any movie we get set pictures from, we try to imagine if the entire film was just whatever boring exterior scene we get to see. In this case, the synopsis would be something like: “Taking your kid to the park is stressful and doesn’t allow you adequate time to get dressed like everyone else in the West Village.”

The film is actually about Thurman, who plays a mother of two preparing for her daughter’s sixth birthday party and “has no idea of the challenges she’s about to face in order to pull off the event.”

Minne Driver is also in it, but who cares?

Sharon Stone has apologized for her statements about the Chinese earthquake being the result of “bad karma” for the way the Chinese government continues to treat the people of Tibet, but just trying to take back something obviously said out of stupidity has cost her some serious Christian Dior money.

The fashion house has decided to pull all ads featuring Stone from all it’s Chinese outlets, and you know Stone was getting paid for some of those.

This sets up an interesting new moral choice for Hollywood. While SAG is still attempting to argue that actors should have the right to refuse product placement that could damage their previously-established PR spin, Stone has actually lost ad dollars by taking a political stance…
