We haven’t yet got the opportunity to view The Wackness, unlike /Film, which has seen it multiple times and continues to sing the flick’s praises. We do know it is about Luke (Josh Peck), a drug dealer in 1994 who trades pot for therapy with borderline pedophile Dr Squires (played by Ben Kingsley, looking extra hippie). Eventually, Luke falls for Dr. Squires’ daughter Stephanie and we’re sure romantic comedy ensues.

We also know that thus far, The Wackness is struggling to produce a trailer that sums it up as more than a movie that Mary Kate Olsen is in.

Maybe the suits are shaping up, as a new Viral campaign has hit the net, introducing itself as recently pulled from the archives of Manhattan public access television, it’s Luke Shapiro’s Dope Show. It’s hosted by the main character of the film and is supposed to take place in 1994 (also like the film)…

It’s kind of cool to see all the 90s video effects again, but we can’t say the clip made us all that interested in The Wackness? Why is it so hard to market a movie that we keep hearing good things about?
