The television season has transitioned into Summer Crap Season with the traditional handoff between American Idol to So You Think You Can Dance marking the end of May sweeps and the beginning of forgettable summer TV. So, why not turn to the internet for some entertaining content. Online every week is sweeps week, and total views are all that matters.

We’ve given some attention to Miley Cyrus’ YouTube Show Miley and Mandy (M&M for short). Specifically, we posted this dance video where M&M team up with some cast members from Step Up 2 The Streets, the latest dance movie to move in and out of theaters with lightning speed.

We thought the 4 Minutes video was just a side-project, but it turns out that it was in response to a dance challenge video from Jon M Chu, the director of Step Up 2. Jon formed his own “dance crew” called ACDC and they have been firing YouTube dance videos at M&M since April.

The two latest entries in this contest pull a lot of surprising celebrity weight. ACDC’s most recent dance video features, among others, Lindsay Lohan, Brittney Snow, Amanda Bynes, Chris Brown, Diana Ross, the Jabbawockeez and Adam Sandler.

Miley responded while on tour with a crowd chant along that includes a Lohan sighting.

The dancing is pretty damn impressive, and Adam Sandler was unexpected. But, it’s either online Viral content or NBC’s All American Summer for the next few months.
