People reports that shrieking fans mobbed the first New Kids performance since 1994. The venue? A rainy, chilly New York street.

They played on the Today Show at 8 this grey Friday morn, and some fans had been camped out since Wednesday waiting for the chance to see their favorite proto-boy band. The crowd of 3,000 was a Today Show record. 3,000! The most compelling explanation B&U has heard comes from Professor Fancypants of TMIU: “Much like the members of the band themselves, the fans find themselves pining for the lost innocence of another age. They identify the music of the New Kids with an era of their life when they were happier, more content. Pre 9/11, you know. And also, Jordan Knight is a total f**king dreamboat.” And how!

The band played through some old classics before moving on the their new single, “Summertime.” For those of you planning to attend out of a desperate longing to return to the better times of 1994, before you lost your girlish figure and he realized he could do better, tickets can be purchased with cash, check, or foodstamps.
