Yesterday, we brought you some harsh words from the show-runner Bill Lawrence at Scrubs, saying that NBC sucks and he’s ready to give the show its drama back next season on ABC.
Now, we’re hearing that this will include an injection of new blood, and we can’t help but think: didn’t House just do this successfully?
From TV Guide:
Dr. Cox is going to have three new souls to torture when Scrubs moves to ABC next season.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Betsy Beutler (The Black Donnellys), Eliza Coupe (HBO’s 12 Miles of Bad Road) and Aziz Ansari (MTV’s Human Giant) are joining the cast as Sacred Heart’s newest interns. The trio will appear on a recurring basis.
House, of course, spent the first 8 episodes of current Season 4 whittling down potential “fellow” until finally settling on Olivia Wilde as the hot and bisexual 13, Kal Penn as the ethnic Kutner and Peter Jacobson as the Jew doctor.
It sounds like Scrubs is doing the same thing, except adding more hot instead of more Jew.
