
It’s still Upfront Week, and New York is still over-run by the starts of network television shows and those pimping their pilots to all the advertisers.
Today, Reaper got picked up for 13 more episodes on the CW and ABC announced it’s line-up. But something is missing, suggesting tomorrow’s CBS upfronts could have a surprise.
What we’ve learned today:
-The CW has picked up Reaper for 13 more episodes that will likely air with Supernatural on Thursdays after Smallville finishes its season.
- New ABC Drama Life On Mars follows police detective Sam Tyler who finds himself transported from modern day back to the early 1970s after a car crash. It’s the only new scripted show that ABC announced this morning.
- ABC announced that Scrubs will be moved to their network, Tuesdays at 9, told ya.
- ABC adds two new reality shows: The Untitled Tyra Banks/Ashton Kutcher show Mondays at 8 and “Opportunity Knocks” (a mobile game show that comes to you, prizes and all) Tuesdays at 8.
- ABC also added a new animated sitcom by King of the Hill’s Mike Judge: The Goode Family.
- ABC officially cancelled: Big Shots, Carpoolers, Cavemen, Men In Trees, October Road, Women’s Murder Club, Cashmere Mafia, Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann, Notes from the Underbelly, and Oprah’s Big Give.
- ABC’s other big news items: they still have 17 series in production for mid-season replacements, this will be the LAST season of Boston Legal and Ugly Betty is moving production to NYC, joining the CW’s Gossip Girl.
-Missing from ABC: The New Adventures of Old Christine, which was rumored to be making a move from CBS should CBS decide to toss it.
Tonight, The CW announces it’s fall schedule, Wednesday is CBS day and Thursday, FOX is up to bat!
