…worry’s for another day! Let the music play! Down in Fraggle Rock.

This isn’t the first time a B&U Staff member has heard about a Fraggle Rock live action film. Seems about once a summer, someone digs up old news or a smaller tidbit of something indicating that the Fraggle Rock movie is somehow closer to production.

Last time we heard, the Fraggles we gearing up for a mixed live-action/muppet musical world where humans mistook the Fraggles for aliens (or demons or something).

Now, we actually got an article from the trades with some details. Fraggle movie any time soon? And there’s still a Zappa involved?

Variety reports that the Wienstein Company is gearing up for a Fraggle movie with Ahmet Zappa (son of Frank) as a producer and Corey Edwards (of questionably bad Hoodwinked) directing and writing.

Once again, the plot seems to be the same vague description we get every time:

Pic will take the core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens.

But having the Weinstein Company on board at least makes this news a little more legit this time around.

Will we ever see a Fraggle movie?
