Bruckheimer And Bay Want To Do Drugs Together

bnb.jpg

The 2006 documentary Cocaine Cowboys is about the drug trade in Miami and the colorful characters who populate said lifestyle. It’s an awesome doc by Billy Corben that was released in 2006 and analyzes how the econmic growth in Miami is connected to the drug trade.

If that synopsis sounds like it could use more hot babes, explosions and chase sequences…we have good news for you under the cut, buddy!

According to Variety, Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer are eyeing to produce a fictional drama series based on Cocaine Cowboys for HBO. They will both produce, though there is no evidence either way pertaining to Bay’s time behind the camera.

Corben’s followup doc, “Cocaine Cowboys 2: Hustlin’ With the Godmother,” was acquired in February by Magnolia’s genre arm, Magnet, so you can check that out, or wait for the honest-to-goodness adaptation of CoCaine Cowboys slated to star Mark Wahlberg.
