This is one of those things that is out there, but not solid enough to be picked up by our larger movie-rumor brothers. There are just some things that are said and overheard that don’t hold as much weight as they should, especially when it’s a rumor with widespread impact like this one.

The rumbling is: someone overheard a crew member currently working on McG’s Terminator 4 (Previously Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins) with Christian Bale as John Connor, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese and Avatar’s Sam Worthington has been talking about what heard “discussing his newfound free schedule due to the production shutting down.”

This is just someone overhearing something, which is literally the lowest rung of the gossip pole (except making shit up, but we’re to nice to do that to you). The film was already in pre-production for a May 2009 release date.

If T4 really just shut down, we would have heard something unofficial and big coming our way already, like in Jumanji when you can hear the stampede in just enough time to get out of its way.

Our guess is that this is f-a-l-s-e, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
