Why are we siding with Rob Lowe on this one? Because Jessica Gibson and Laura Boyce could have just let this all go away. Instead, Gibson got Gloria Allred.

Gloria Allred is the biggest famewhoring lawyer currently working just based on how often we are forced to write her name. Remember that big bear of a bodyguard who saw Britney Spears do drugs, but didn’t want to be identified because he only wanted to blow the whistle for the sake of Brit’s kids? Well, he hired Allred and then was on Larry King.

Seriously, this woman is the bloodsucking lawyer you always knew was out there.

To bring you up to date: Lowe wrote an article about the $1 million dollar lawsuit against Laura Boyce, who he claimed violated a confidentiality agreement. Since then, this empty-eyed former employee, Jessica Gibson, has come forth with a sexual harassment claim.

AP reports:

Rob Lowe exposed himself, touched himself and groped his former nanny several times, she alleges in a lawsuit filed Monday in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The lawsuit, filed by Jessica Gibson, says Lowe “placed his hand inside Gibson’s pants” several times from about September 2005 to around January 2008. The suit also alleges the actor grabbed Gibson’s behind without her consent in December 2007, around the time she quit working for Lowe and his wife.

She also claims she feared Lowe would “attempt to further sexually assault her.”

Rob Lowe is a douchebag for putting his shit out on The Huffington Post, and in that sense, he deserves the shit storm that came down on him. However, being a big star with lots of money, a frivolous extortion lawsuit is what you do to scare off the sycophants.

We said before, Lowe’s $1 million dollar lawsuit is something Laura can’t afford; it’s a warning shot and Gibson seems to not understand that.

Instead Jessica lawyered up with the shittiest three-ring-circus legal team and made untrustworthy, evil-eyes at the Today Show cameras.

We don’t believe Jessica Gibson because of the lie in her eyes, but it also doesn’t help Gloria Allred is sitting next to her, practically building a legal case on the spot.

This is reactionary, almost entirely fabricated (from what we can tell) and will only serve to hurt public opinion for both parties.

Lowe might be a sexually-harassing asshole, and he does have a history of legal problems with past employees, but something about Jessica Gibson strikes us as “dumb opportunist.”

Just in case we were unclear:
Lowe – innocent of the latest charges, though probably not really “innocent.”
Laura Boyce – blackmailer
Jessica Gibson – Opportunist with no soul
Gloria Allred – Satan incarnate.
