South Park did Britney Spears last night and it was the same sort of satire South Park has gotten to doing really well.

When Britney Spears shoots herself in the head, she survives, but with the top of her head missing.

Which the media seems to completely miss.

The South Park boys decide to help Britney by taking her to the North Pole. The paparazzi mob follows and confesses they won’t stop until she is dead. The cartoon Brit finally dies and we learn the real truth on why everyone wants her dead. Brit must be sacrificed in order for there to be a good harvest. The episode ends with the people finding their next sacrificial lamb…Miley Cyrus.

Some feel that South Park’s best days are behind it, others feel that it continues to offer the best satire currently on television.

We’re of the latter group. Except we like to emphasize “on television,” because this Onion article was actually the best piece of satire this week.
