On September 28th of last year, Paris Hilton went on David Letterman to pimp her fragrance called “Can Can.”

This was back before the writer’s strike made every late night host happy if they could pull anyone worth watching. This was back when Letterman finally got fed up with Paris Hilton like the rest of the world.

2007 was the year that we saw multiple newscasters refuse to read Paris Hilton jail news while live on-air. The media was backlashing against Hilton hardcore.

So, Dave let her have it. And it was glorious:

Directly after she walked off-stage, nearly in tears, she swore she wouldn’t do Letterman again.

Now, TMZ reports:

TMZ has learned that Dave’s getting another shot with Princess P, and that she’ll be a guest on the show on Friday, Feb. 1. It’ll be the sixth time she’s been on Dave’s show — and her first since that memorable appearance on Sept. 28.

Back then, when an audience member yelled out, “I love you Paris!”, Letterman quipped, “Is that somebody you met in prison?” As the audience cackled, Paris moaned, “Now you’re making me sad that I came.” Not too sad, apparently, to return.

We’re guessing Dave is going to take it easy on her, but we can hope that he puts the screws back on. Really, we need a face like Letterman to really run Hilton out of the pubic eye…public eye.
