Kiefer Sutherland was released a few hours early for jail, supposedly this morning at 12:05 in the AM.

This October, Kiefer pleaded no contest to driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol level, it was his third DUI to hit the books, so they put him away.
We know rabid 24-fan friends that have met Sutherland and they all insist that he is the nicest guy in the world, so we’re not surprised that Kiefer’s 48 dyas in jail passed without incident.
Sutherland requested to spend his time in Glendale’s suburban city jail rather than the over-crowded Los Angeles County jail as long as he waived his ability to try and get time off for good behavior and/or over-crowding (a celeb favorite).
Despite the lack of motivation to be good, Sutherland didn’t cause any problems while he was on 48 days of laundry duty in jail. “He was very humble, never complained,” said Officer John Balian to AP. “He didn’t give us any problems at all.”
Now Kiefer gets to sit our the writer’s strike before Fox pulls the trigger on the new, D.C.-based season of 24 that was put on indefinite hold in December.
