The AMPTP proposal that was released yesterday to the WGA, breaking the press blackout that has surrounded the strike, apparently offered little more than rollbacks to the scrappy guild of writers, according to Broadcastingcable.com.

There’s a lot of complex mumbo jumbo dealing with percentages and flat rates on internet videos, but the bottom line is that no new episodes of 30 Rock are being written, anywhere, by anyone. How much does that suck?

In related news, Conan O’Brien, the used-to-be-cooler-but-still-pretty-cool host of late night television, is paying his non-writing staffers out of his own pocket, following the lead of the slightly more awesome David Letterman. Unsurprisingly, Jay Leno is firing his staffers as of today. So that makes the score sheet look like this:

Conan
Letterman
=
Both funny
Both nice guys
——————-
Leno
=
Not funny
Asshole

While I want very badly for the writers to return to work, I think I will most miss the lovely reporters of Foxxy News, the “Fair, Balanced….And Hot!” channel:
