Talented AND popular rapper Kanye West intends to marry his fiancée Alexis Phifer sooner than he had originally planned, according to teenhollywood.com.

It had been his mother, Donda West’s wishes that her boy settle down. Further, a spotlight-grabbing family friend waxed philosophical about West’s motives to the National Enquirer: “His mother’s sudden death brought into focus just how short life really is. Kanye doesn’t want to wait any longer to make Alexis his wife.”

West has certainly had a tough time dealing with his mother’s death, which occurred earlier this month as the result of complications from plastic surgery.
